Motor vehicle accidents involving large trucks can cause the individuals involved to suffer serious injuries. Sadly, such motor vehicle accidents can sometimes even have fatal results. This can be seen in a truck accident that occurred last week in Georgia.
The accident happened last Friday in Thomas County, Georgia. Reportedly, that night, a car was going north along Highway 19. The car was reportedly being driven by a 54-year-old woman. According to authorities, a collision then occurred between this car and a big rig truck that was making a U-turn. Reportedly, the Georgia Highway Patrol is investigating this motor vehicle accident.
This motor vehicle accident did, sadly, result in a loss of life. According to the article on WTXL's website which reported this story, the 54-year-old woman was killed in the crash. The article did not mention whether or not the driver of the above-mentioned big rig truck was hurt at all in the crash.
As this tragic crash illustrates, motor vehicle accidents involving large trucks can sometimes result in an individual's death. Thus, truck accidents can be very harmful and dangerous.
Consequently, it is very important for truck drivers in Georgia to do everything they reasonably can to prevent truck accidents. This includes obeying all applicable traffic laws, driving in a safe and careful manner and avoiding engaging in reckless conduct when out on the roads. If truck drivers fail to do these things, they could be putting the safety of individuals they share the road with at risk.
