Recently, a car accident occurred in Georgia which resulted in three individuals getting hurt.
The accident occurred last Sunday in Rome, Georgia. Reportedly, late that morning, a car that was being driven by a 75-year-old man and a big rig truck stopped at a red light at the intersection of U.S. 411 and Ga. Loop 1. Reportedly, the 75-year-old man's car was behind the big rig truck. A 70-year-old woman was a passenger of the 75-year-old man's car.
Allegedly, a vehicle that was being driven by a 65-year-old woman then crashed into the back of the 75-year-old man's car. It has been alleged that the 65-year-old woman was distracted by her GPS at the time of this collision. This collision reportedly caused the 75-year-old man's car to go under the big rig truck.
According to the Rome News-Tribune article which reported this story, authorities have cited the 65-year-old woman with failure to use due caution in connection to this accident.
Reportedly, the 75-year-old man, the 70-year-old woman and the 65-year-old woman were hurt in this motor vehicle accident. These three individuals were taken to a hospital after the crash.
As this crash illustrates, car accidents can result in the individuals involved suffering harm.
Thus, it is very important for motor vehicle drivers to take all reasonable steps to prevent car accidents. This includes avoiding engaging in distracted driving when out on the roads. It also includes obeying all relevant traffic laws when driving.
