Collisions between motorcycles and other motor vehicles can result in motorcyclists suffering severe injuries. This can be seen in a motorcycle accident that occurred over the weekend in Georgia.

The accident happened on Saturday in Lee County, Georgia. Reportedly, that afternoon, a man was riding a motorcycle south along US 19. Allegedly, a northbound SUV then made a left turn in front of the motorcycle and a collision occurred between the motorcycle and the SUV. The man who was riding the motorcycle was reportedly thrown from the motorcycle as a result of this collision.

Reportedly, the man who was riding the motorcycle suffered severe injuries in this motor vehicle accident. According to the WALB article which reported this story, the man was taken to a hospital after the crash occurred. Reportedly, as of January 8, the man was in critical but stable condition.

As this incident demonstrates, collisions between motorcycles and other motor vehicles can sometimes result in motorcyclists getting seriously injured. Thus, motorcycle accidents can be a very harmful type of motor vehicle accident.

Consequently, it is very important for motor vehicle drivers in Georgia to do everything they reasonably can to prevent motorcycle accidents. This includes making sure to watch for motorcycles when driving. It also includes obeying all applicable traffic laws when out on the roads and exercising proper care when making turns. If motor vehicle drivers fail to do these things, they could be putting the safety of motorcyclists they share the road with at risk.
